A robe of black velvet shows on entry in its deep purple-black hue. The aromas of brown-sugared boysenberry and roasted coffee bean are swarmed by a mouth-filling body of dark chocolate and finely grained tannins.
Our cabernet is a proprietary blend of two majestic vineyards in St. Helena and Howell Mountain which contribute their unique qualities to the structure, texture,
and balance of the wine. The St. Helena red, rocky soils, ancient and volcanic in nature, add layers, balance, and texture to the wine. The fruit is typically harvested in small lots over multiple passes. The Howell Mountain vineyard sits high above the fog line, where temperatures are cool but moderate, allowing extra time to ripen. Lean, quick-draining soils force the vines to struggle, yielding small grapes that possess deep, concentrated flavor with a signature minerality and earthy undertone. These intense tannins and structure perfect the magic with the St. Helena passion.
